Play As Dark Link

Live the epic battle between Link and Dark Link, but this time, on the evil side!

WARNING: Versions 1.1 and 1.2 do not work, as this code is extremely difficult to port. I've tried to port 1.2 as best as possible, but unfortunately I'm still getting errors from it. I'll leave them as-is for now in hopes of fixing them later, but only the 1.0 NTSC version of this code is guaranteed to work. The other versions WILL crash your game.

You'll begin in Hyrule Field with the interface active. Run into the Market Ruins.
Head towards the Temple of Time. Don't press L yet.
Once you're inside, you'll notice Dark Link standing in front of you. You can press L now, but it's best to start by attacking him first until he's opaque. Then press L.

As an added bonus, you get to fight Link! Just a few notes: as of now, it is not possible to switch their voices so that they match their owners (i.e., make Dark Link sound like Dark Link). Also, sometimes Link will turn red when he jumps or won't attack you (this usually happens when you switch before Dark Link's opaque). If you defeat Link by hitting him once, Dark Link will turn completely invisible, although you can still move around. Finally, Dark Link cannot be used in any other area, nor can he leave the Temple of Time. The game will automatically turn him back into Link if you leave, and using the code outside of the Temple of Time will result in a crash.
