Japanese Kanji/Kana Text

Effect: Changes all game text from English to Japanese (both Kanji and kana are used).  The File Select screen also has an added secret feature: when making a new file, you can press the R button to cycle between hiragana (native Japanese names), katakana (foreign names), and English letters.
Uses: Item Mapping
Not Recommended For: Regular gameplay, unless you're fluent in Japanese.  Also, any file saved with Japanese characters will show controller buttons in English Mode or freeze the game.
WARNING!  This code not only is capable of corrupting/deleting saved game files, but it has also been known to either permanently fix your game in Japanese mode (see the fix below to get out of this), or even crash your game entirely.  Not all cartridges support Japanese mode, so use this at your own risk.
Note: PAL players will notice that this code will actually change the game's selected language to either English, Spanish, French, or German, depending on the value chosen.  Unlike NTSC players, you do not need to worry about a fix, as your game automatically provides a menu to change the language on the File Select screen.

Japanese Fix: If your game seems to be stuck in Japanese mode, use the following code to start it back up in English mode.  You may need to save your game several times before the cartridge resets itself, and there's a good possibility that you'll have to use this code no matter how often you save or create new files.  If worse comes to worse, you can always reset the cartridge by either opening it up (not recommended) and disabling the battery temporarily, or by taking it to a repair shop (highly recommended).

Breeze Through Text

Effect: The name says it all.  Sets the text delay to 2, so all the words appear as soon as the textbox opens.
Uses: Getting past those loooooong conversations.
Not Recommended For: Using with cutscenes, since cutscenes don't let you control the textbox anyway.
