With this chart, you can pretty much tell if you have version 1.0 or not.  If you don't have 1.0, then it gets tricky.  The best way to know for certain which version you have is to intentionally crash your game.  Without a Gameshark code on, the only way to do this is to use Crooked Cartridge Glitch.  This is done simply by pulling the cartridge out very slowly on one side until Link begins to go wild.  When the game has crashed, put the cartridge back in all the way and use VGX's Debug Code.  On the last screen there is a creation date.
Of course, if you have a Gameshark, crashing the game is super-easy!  Just turn on Beta Quest 1, then run to Zora's River.  Instant crash!
