Zelda DD
It's the dawn of a new Zelda era as Nintendo unveils the much-anticipated
Zelda Master Quest, the GameCube remix of the renowned video game
"Zelda: Ocarina of Time." Here we will feature exclusive screenshots
and videos of the Master Quest and reveal the secrets that had once never
left Japan's borders.
For those who would like a little history
lesson, the Zelda Master
Quest is actually an old game that was developed only a year or two
after
Ocarina of Time was released. At the time, Nintendo was
attempting
to push a new product in Japan called the N64 Disk Drive (a device you
attached to the bottom of the N64 where the AUX port was).
Needless
to say, it was a failure. The N64DD was too expensive and had no
appealing games except for Ura-Zelda (or Zelda Master Quest), and
obviously
the Japanese weren't too excited about buying a large clunky disk drive
just for enhanced dungeons. Since then, Ura-Zelda was
forgotten...
well, until now. For the record: Ura-Zelda was promised to
provide additional subquests, new dungeons, more items, and so
on. The GameCube release was either a dramatically reduced
version, or was quickly thrown together and given the title
Ura-Zelda. We're thinking latter, but that's up to opinion.
